Mr. Rajan Simkhada was born north of Kathmandu near Ganesh Himal 41 years back. Today he is a positive attitude Businessman, Artist, and philanthropist, an innovative young achiever.
As one of the founder member of River Fun Beach Resort, Rajan leads the company with a laser focus on excellence. Rajan is recognized as a leader and visionary in Nepal's tourism industry, often quoted in top travel publications around the world, TV shows and regularly speaking at shows like the Adventure travel show, UK. Rajan's never-ending curiosity to learn and understand our tourism industry and the world has taken him to more than 28 countries – from climbing the Mera Peak in the Everest region to hiking in Hong Kong or Colorado. He has a particular passion for mountains, conservation, and spirituality. Rajan received his BBS from Nepal, as well as a series of training on Young entrepreneurship and leadership.
Rajan lives in Kathmandu with his family and runs other tourism-related business like Earthbound Expeditions, Thamel Eco Resort, Nepal Yoga Retreat, Momo Hut, and Pokhara Eco Resort. As a philanthropist, his Mamata Foundation works for social welfare and they often contribute to the areas of education/health helping to build schools/libraries and sustain orphanage, etc. Rajan is a friendly, outgoing, honest person, who loves adventure, social work, traveling – many people refer as a gift to the country like Nepal.
